It’s safe to say we didn’t see this coming. One month ago, we were busy as ever going on back to back meetings in preparation for wedding season ahead. Overnight, we woke up and everything changed before our eyes. We are just one business that got affected, among millions all over the world and most importantly, our clients. As this time is tough all around, our hearts are centered around our couples who have eagerly been counting down for their special day all year. We want to assure each of you, things are going to be okay. In this heartbreaking scenario, we are keeping you calm by passing along our years of expertise related to rescheduling, contracts and simply keeping your cool. First off, read the agreement you signed between you and your venue. This pandemic has made it extremely tough for most venues since their doors are closed. Be sure to thoroughly read what you signed especially in the ‘force majeure’ clause which most venues will cover. If you are unable to have your wedding on your preferred date and your contract doesn’t cover your deposits, reach out to your sales representative immediately and ask what the venue is doing to aide you during the time of the unknown. We have spoken to several venues and they have been extremely understanding and flexible with moving dates without penalty and transferring deposits over. The downside is, of course your first date of choice is pushed back. The good news? You have a new wedding date to look forward to! Think of this as just another countdown to an extremely special time that awaits you. Another highlight, we have worked with couples who have booked in the Spring simply because the Summer months can tend to be higher in cost. Some of our brides have dreamed of a summer wedding, but the numbers were just not feasible. The flexibility with moving your wedding date to this summer will bring you a completely different experience with more time for planning and no additional cost to take on. We know how challenging it is to stay calm during this season of a big question mark. We also know how much time, energy and money have gone into planning your wedding day. The arrangements with food tastings, securing vendors, hotel accommodations, save the dates, invitations and RSVPs, that amazing seating chart planning that is a job within itself… we hear you. We know you are frustrated, upset, disappointed. You have every right to feel this way, but don’t let this moment tear you to pieces. We are always here to remind you of this one thing. This one thing that is the most important reminder you will ever receive and that is your fiancé is still yours. You both have each other, and this trying time will only make your relationship that much stronger. You will gain a new sense of the true meaning of love and that is because love doesn’t depend on a circumstance. If that was the case, we would all be loveless. If you are a couple that has been affected by COVID-19 understand that you are going through the test of time. Unconditional love is when you keep going, you keep loving and you are certain nothing can come in between the bond that begins with the words "I do".
