Entrée decision: plated vs. buffet

Ladies, we are here to help you gain some clarity on the grand question you will all get asked—plated or buffet? It’s important to know the pros of both options before you make your decision. First of all, what is the difference between plated and buffet? Your plated option allows you as the host to pre-select the entrée options for your guests. We know the thought of having to keep track of Aunt Jenny’s meal selection is the last thing you want to worry about, but with a little extra work, Aunt Jenny can take her seat and be served the exact entrée she wanted. Your guests will be grateful you have gone the extra mile to have them served and even personalize their experience, providing them with place cards. On the other hand, choosing the buffet option liberates you from tracking guest entrée selections to focus on other aspects of the wedding. Additionally, your loved ones will appreciate having the freedom to choose from a variety of salads, sides and entrees. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to your dinner service, but first know your preference and the kind of time that you have in order to make the best decision.
